The Brand Ambassador Guide

Your go to guide for becoming a brand ambassador. Get to the bag with the B.A.G!

  • Since I’ve set on my quest to explore the world of the brand ambassador, I have compiled a list of the platforms I’ve used to successfully obtain work as well as those that offer BA opportunities. The average pay rate is $25-$30 hour and it’s all flexible- on your time and with selection of which events you want to work.

This is a live list, so platforms may be added or removed in the future. Note that the availability and accessibility to opportunities can vary from city/state. The pay structure for each platform has also been provided.

Click on the names of the platforms to be taken to their sign-up page! Please note that I may receive a referral bonus or points on the platforms if you use these links 🙂

    PopBookings

PopBookings, as you’ll see with several other sites here, is a “bulletin board” type platform that helps streamline event staffing for different agencies and brands. Agencies will put the job that they’re looking to hire for along with the pay rate and details. You can choose which of the opportunities to apply to, and if the hiring party decides to offer you the position, they will inquire and reach out to you via PopBooking’s messaging system. The payment will be processed two business days after the shift is worked, according to PopBookings’ website.

    Trusted Herd

The largest site in the US and Canada to post event jobs since 2017, Trusted Herd is the go-to for many event workers. It is similar to PopBookings in the way that companies will put their events on the site and the hiring company will reach out to your directly via your contact information after you apply. However, some jobs will have links in the description of their jobs for you to apply with that agency directly on their portal or otherwise. The pay structure for the jobs will vary, as you are working with different agencies. Some will pay as a W-2 direct-deposit on a bi-weekly schedule or on a 1099 Contractor basis.

    PUSH Models

PUSH Models Agency is where I got my start doing demos for Popwell Brand Soda! This is a direct-to-agency app, where PUSH manages things for brands and events. You will work directly with a PUSH agent regarding any opportunities you will be hired for, as they will reach out and walk you through your booking and can answer any questions you may have. They also work on a points basis on top of your pay- the more gigs you do per quarter, the more points you earn that you can then cash-in for real items that will be sent to you. Different bookings have different point values and the pay will be every two weeks, typically done on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month.

    The Hype! Agency

The Hype! Agency is another “direct to worker” platform that sends you events and companies who are looking to hire BA’s. Hype does not currently have an app to my knowledge, so all of this will be browser based. As of August 2025, I have not yet worked through Hype. However, the opportunities that I have seen come up have been very enticing- Dunkin’ Donuts, Barilla Pasta and Ulta Beauty all looking for BA’s. The payments are processed to you as a W-2 part-time/ temporary employee.

    GigSmart

GigSmart-also known as GetGigs- is an on-demand shift app that connects employers with workers. GigSmart is where I found my first gig with Postmates! However, BA work is not the only type of work you can find here. You’ll find opportunities for shift work and “odd jobs”, as anyone who is looking for workers/labor can post a job to the app. GigSmart gives the hiring party two days to approve the time sheet that is submitted, but many companies approve time sheets before then. Money can be available anywhere between 2 hours to two days after a gig.

Your Local Brand Ambassador Page on Facebook

While it may be looked at as “the boomer platform”, Facebook is still a treasure trove of groups and opportunities. A brand that I am currently working with, Nemi Snacks, I found through my local group! You never know what cool things are happening around your area until someone needs help to promote them. So if you have a Facebook page that you may not have used in a while, blow the dust off and use it to your advantage.

    Instagram

While I know that TikTok has become Queen of short-form content, Instagram is still a great way to find opportunities and keep them in your feed consistently. I have linked below some agencies I’ve found through the platform that may be worth checking out!

    Assist Marketing

    B9 Model Event Staffing

    Bae Agency

    Summary

While this is not an exhaustive list of every and all agencies out in the world, these are the ones I’ve found easiest to get started with. From learning the terminology, to starting a gig, to getting paid- these platforms have allowed me an entrance into the BA and marketing space. As you move through events, find your niche and interests, you’ll find other platforms and agencies may become favorites or better suited for you. Until then, use these as a starting ground and jump in. You got this!

    Now, go get that bag!

  • Hi, I’m Stephanie! I’m a brand ambassador from the Midwest here to give you the best tips and tricks on how to become a professional brand ambassador. I started this journey Spring of 2025, looking to make some extra income to help pay down debt. As I embarked on this journey, I realized that I a lot of the questions I had when it came to this new venture didn’t have direct answers or a single hub where I could go to for advice.

Thus, the Brand Ambassador’s Guide (or the B.A.G for short) was born! Out of a desire to document things for myself, I wanted to share what I have learned with others in the hopes of putting people on to this exciting way of making extra money. This economy is getting really tough to deal with, and while we can’t side-hustle our way out of systemic issues, this has become a way to provide extra income during these trying times and a way to have some fun at the same time.

I hope you enjoy the content and are able to make yourself some extra money along the way. The B.A.G is here to help you make the bag!

    Happy ambassador-ing!
